Noosa Film Academy offers Full Day Filmmaking and Acting for Screen Workshops in Queensland schools. We have delivered over 450 school and Community workshops since 2017.

Workshops are conducted by Academy Award winning Cinematographer, Greg Huglin, who shared an Oscar® for Cinematography for his work on the 2010 Best Documentary, 'The Cove', from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. Greg also received a shared Logie for his Cinematography for Channel 9, Australia, 'Surfabout', in 1979 and an Emmy® for his 'Shark Park' episode for FINS produced by Opper Sports in 2006.

Andrea Huglin Produces and Co-Directs the Workshops while Greg acts as Cinematographer, Director and Editor.
Andrea received her degree in International Tourism Management from UTS in Sydney and then founded the largest Whale and Dolphin tourism business in South Africa in 1998.

Noosa Film Academy owns over $150,000 worth of professional equipment including two RED Dragon UHD 6k video cameras, Sennheiser Wireless mics, Apple Macbook M1 computers and a 4k BenQ video projector used as a wireless Director's Monitor.
Our students learn how to shoot short dramatic films on location and they alternate between the key roles of Director, Camera Operator, Script Supervisor, Actor, Sound Operator and Editor.
Each one day workshop is designed to be fun, hands-on and fully immersive as we complete a 5-10 minute dramatic film daily.

We believe in teaching genuine skills that you’ll be able to put into action the very next day.

Greg is highly experienced, passionate and driven by a desire to nurture each student’s talent, regardless of age or level of experience.
